Stomach Problems, Nausea, Vomiting
Acupuncture and acupressure of Neiguan (P6) were shown to reduce some aspects of chemotherapy-associated nausea and vomiting when given in conjunction with standard antiemetic treatments. That acupuncture and acupressure can fully replace standard approaches to reduce nausea and vomiting in chemotherapy-treated cancer patients is unlikely.
There are differing opinions regarding the safety of acupuncture in pregnant women. Some practitioners feel that the technique is safe and can be very effective for the treatment of pregnancy related nausea, provided that the acupuncturist is aware of the condition of the patient and is careful to avoid utilizing any acupuncture points which might encourage the induction of labor.
Acupuncture can help to get all the stuff that is arising from the stomach into your mouth to go downward again like its supposed to do. Herbal medicines would seek to put out the fire in the stomach, or kill the bacteria responsible for the problem, depending on how you chose to look at it.
